Hey!

My lovely little polo mk3 has developed a problem - i've lost 1st and 2nd gears!! (its the 5 - speed box from the GT btw) The previous owner said that he had a gearbox leak once. Could the solution to my problem be something as simple as topping the gearbox oil up? Please help!!

Try pressing down on the stick, as you would for reverse, so that it moves more to the passenger side of the car. If you can now select 1st and 2nd, the linkage needs adjusting.
