I got a problem with my battery. Last week i cannot start my car, i go and recharge my car battery and added the battery water. After that, it works for only a week. Yesterday, I cannot start again, the battery is flatten or what? Do you guys know what is the problem?

i went to halford and they told me the battery is ok, just need to recharge. I did recharge but it finish in one week time.

I just do my normal driving and installed a kenwood HU and a cigg lighter spliter ( 1 to 4)

Use a multimeter to check for something draining power when the car is turned off.

Is it the headunit draining the power whilst the ignition is off?

Has the cig lighter splitter got pretty LED's? Its probably draining the battery, as coule the headunit.

You need a multimeter to check the drain

Have you checked the altinator is charging properly?

In case your not sure how to just place a volt meter across the terminals and it should read 12/13 volts when engine is off and about 14/15 with enging running. I think thats correct, either way it should read higher with the engine running.

Are you leaving the multi socket cig plug in when your not driving? as this will definately drain your batt.

If not the power source for your head unit is the wrong one and is draining it when your not driving it.
