what did you actually do to 'try' the central locking pump?

best thing to do is to find a mate with a polo or a <1995 mk3 golf (have the same pump as the polo), an try their pump in your car, and your pump in their car

I have tried another central locking pump on it and it still doesnt work. i have checked there is a live going to it and there is but should there be one or two lives going to it. thanks for the info though.

is the mk5 and mk4 central locking pump the same then?

That part number rings a bell. I think its just the 1H and the F that differs. I'm sure it will work to be honest

.. and you should have bought mine :( hahahaha

I thought I emailed you about yours?? Is it still available?

How many pins does it have?

**EDIT**

No didnt email you. damn, I really thought yours had gone.

If you can chk the num of pins for me mate id be grateful....if this one dont work then I'll be in touch....VERY soon.

Thanks

simply match the part number up on the pumps

this is the easiest way to make sure you have the same pump

Ye i will........or just plug it in lol.......cant lose with the problems I have lol

Just haven't got mine out yet thats all

still not sorted it even though i have put a new pump on it. any other ideas.

check the wires that reach to lock unlock key hole behind the dorr card also check fuse for dodgy connections as the fuse for this does the clocks and interior light when door is open

Or check the wiring with a power probe pretty simple it is on the polo mk4 6n
