There are 3 different engines in the CL.

1.0 SPI (AAU)

1.3 SPI (AAV)

1.3 MPI (NZ)

Then there is the GT.

1.3 MPI (3F)

The 1.0 SPI and 1.3 SPI look the same. They have a large round black "dustbin lid" style air box on top of the throttle body. The 1.3 MPI has an panel filter airbox behind the drivers side headlight. As does the GT, which is also MPI but runs a higher compression, throttle potentiometer instead of open/closed switch and a lairier camshaft.

plus the GT has Bosch Digifant management whereas SPI 1.3s have Bosch Mono-Motronic and the MPI CL (engine code NZ) has Bosch Digijet.

GT also has a shorter gearbox on it.
