I have one of those big buffer jobbies and fancy mopping my paintwork so to take a layer of laquer / paint off and then either tin spray laquer on or use wax to renew the shine????

If anyone has any advice on a home bre way to save some laquer peel and generally not cared for paint work - let me know!

After scooting about the internet a bit and seeing a very good lot of information from this site:

I am going to either use some wet and dry to remove the laquer peel - then try the worse places with a fluid compound of some type - then use a restorer, a polish and a wax to get the shine and protection...

Any advice on the actual laquer peel sitiation though?

I want to repair the peel issue - shall i use the compound to take back the laquer that is left and then respray with laquer or just polish it and then wax it?

if you dont have lacquer on the basecoat, and you mop the basecoat, the paint will go silvery, where the basecoat is removed and the aluminium particles are exposed.
