Polo mk3 Votex grille with spotlights built in

Featured Replies

will be getting hold of one of these grilles soon and i was wondering where do the spotlights wire up to?

are they classed as side lights, headlights or fog lights? i already have a pair of genuine front fogs on the car so i was just wondering where to connect them to as the foglight connector looks to be the only available connector on the car!

also, are these grilles rare? were they an optional extra from the factory?

thanks!

I imagine that these would wire up to the main beam i.e when you pull the indicator stalk to flash someone. That is how the twin headlight MK2 polos, golfs etc were wired.

Yes they are rare, as they were expensive when new.

You might want to upgrade your alternator to run the additional lights...

Karl.

Are you sure? He's adding 2 main beams. The standard 55ah indicator should be more than enough.

They won't run all day every day.

Was just thinking as he's got foglights fitted too iirc?

Karl.

you need to relay them into the main beam system so that they activate with the main beam. Spot and Driving lamps must be activated in this was and be above the bumper line. Fogs fit below trhe bumper line and can be activated individually, usually with sidelights?

you will only need to upgrade the alternator if your using higher wattage bulbs than 55/60w
