Its SOOO ODD... when you get in the car, the interior light comes on, the dash has its time/mileage is all ok... u put key in

turn it.... as soon as you turn it, you SHOULD see dash symbols turn on and things start happening, but SOMETIMES the WHOLE d ash just shuts off and car looks as if the battery is dead... i haven't even cranked it properly...

i didnt have my multimeter with me during any of the MANY instances so i cant check if its the battery thats dead, but even afte a long drive, if i turn car off, theres a high chance it will do the same thing again, 2day i rolled the car out of harms way... waited for few mins and car started... WHATS GOING ON...

BATTERY?ALTERNATOR? short in the ignition? it doesnt make sense... 2day after it went dead, i kept tryin gto key it on and my dash just went gobble-dy-gook showing all these dodgy characters/ semi symbols on... seems lik not enough battery voltage, but doesnt make sense... could it be alternator... what else can i see to verify this?

Had i similar problem a few months back, everything would work (lights, dash) but as soon as i turned the ignition on the dash went blank and the alarm went crazy. got the battery tested and it was dead, bought a new one and the same thing happened about 2 weeks later, got that tested and it was also dead. Haven't had any problems since putting the second new battery in so i don't know what was causing it. I think it was somthing to do with my alarm though.
