replacing solex with mk2 Weber?

Featured Replies

Basically, does it fit straight on or will I need to change some jets? There's a few Weber's on standard mk2 squares in the local scrappers and I'm tempted to give one a go...having no probs with the solex though so should I just stick with that? Thanks

Is it a 1.0 it's going onto?

I doubt it would shake things up, I'd personally stick with the solex if it's not giving you any greif, but carbs found on 1.0 should be suitably jetted for other 1.0, and so on. It's only if you start modifying that jets would really need to be adjusted.

It's for a 1272cc HK coupe S engine...hmm might as well stick with the solex I spose. Just wanted to make things a bit more interesting.

a weber dmtr will go on a HK inlet manifold so long as you have the full weber kit. (ie adaptor plate) the mk2 webers in the scrappers are probably 1.05 webers. What solex are you using? HH?

Umm good question, I think it's the one off the HH, though I honestly can't remember if it's the original 1093cc HB (?) one. Damn.

I want twin webers! Or MPI...though that's a bit boring.
