Hi all

My clutch has gone on my polo and to get a price to replace it of my mechanic he needs to know the engince code of my polo, i have looked on my logbook and on my engine and i can not find it. I have looked on the site for engine codes as posted as a FAQ on here but my car falls unders about 4 didfferent categories.

My car is a 99 V reg 1.4cl Polo

Would anyone be able to tell me what my engine code would be from this?

ok i managed to find engine code, its APQ, so my next question is, is there a website where i can price up the clutch kits so i know he is giving me a fair deal??

I thought the 1.4 8V was AEX?

there will be more than one code for that size engine

Yeah, I'm guessing the fact it's just a CL, it's going to be the 8v and the only 1.4s I know of are the AFH, ABD and AEX, it's obviously not the former two. But fair enough, just checked and APQ is a code, learn something every day
