can you get this to work with any turbo/twin turbo charged cars?

Yes.

Heard good things about Emerald M3D and had the pleasure of working on a car with it. Just over £500 gets you the ECU and a basic rolling road session for a simple map. 3 different maps held on memory, changeable on the fly.

According to their website, Emerald's K3 with switchable maps is £580 plus the VAT, but includes a base map. A full mapping session is £275 + VAT. They're good systems from what I can tell, a lot of people use them - and I'm considering switching to them myself. Other cheaper options are VEMs and Megasquirt, but MS isn't such a professional product.

The likes of DTA, Motec, Omex, Pectel etc. tend to be aimed more towards the motorsport market - so are priced accordingly.

You need more than just a MAP sensor, but it depends on your application as to what additional sensors you'd need.

To convert my turbo G40 to Emerald I could re-use most of the existing sensors, but would need to add a boost control solenoid and a MAP sensor at least, being as the Digipants sensor is on the ECU PCB. Megasquirt tends to have the MAP sensor built in.

the boost control solenoid is for your waste gate though right?

i think i am going to use emerald as well for the derby, but i thought i would only need the map sensor, because all the other sensors are already on the engine

The hall effect is the dizzy is OK. Not as good as a proper trigger wheel on the crank, but good enough to make it run. The RS200 only had 4 pegs on the back of the flywheel. Good enough for approx. 600 hp.
