it's not an easy conversion i'm afraid... on the 6n polo the engine/transmission mounts onto the chassis, but on the ibiza it's all on the subframe, it is very similar to a mk 3 golf...

it can be done, but not easily

hth

it requires the same effort as a 20v turbo i think, you need all the subframes for it all, u might aswell put a 1.8 16v engine in there instead of an 8v mate, more power, the 2.0 8v has 110bhp, the 1.8 16v (ADL) has 130bhp and the 2.0 16v (ABF) has 150bhp

also whats the point of putting the ibiza gti engine into the polo, both cars weigh the same, all the parts should be able to move from one to the other (maybe not steering wheels if you've got a sparco one or similar, that requires a new boss). the mk4 polo, mk3 gofl and mk2 seat ibiza (all models) share the same floorplan

the mk4 polo, mk3 gofl and mk2 seat ibiza (all models) share the same floorplan

i'm afraid that isn't true...

the mk3 golf is the closest match to an ibiza... but the mk4 polo is totally different

neale put the whole recaro interior out of a mk2 ibiza gti into his mk4 polo though

yeah, your're fine with seat subframes..... but not the one that the engine sits on :D
