favour needed from VAG-COM owners

Featured Replies

Has anybody on here got VAG-COM and live in or around the sussex area, thats fancy doing me a favour and resetting my throttle body/ECU for me?? my idle is playing up big style after cleaning the TB and I've been told the ecu will need resetting as my local agarge cant find any other reason for it to be messing around. (tryed disconnecting the battery with no joy)

or does anybody know how much a VW dealer will charge for doing this?

thanks

anybody?? would be doing me a huge favour I'm willing to pay aswell.

or does anybody know how much vw would do this for?

£55 at my VW dealer. But I seen them as cheap as £23 in independant specialist garages.

Try disconnecting the battery for as long as possible, it generally errases temp error codes.

But for TB allignment u do need VAGCOM.

did try disconnecting the battery but had no joy so I'm going to get it booked into my main dealer next week should sort the problem out, i gather going to a specialist wouldnt make any difference apart from the cost, they would still use vag com or similar?? or should i just go to vw and make sure its done right?

Yeah I recommend you finding a VAG specialist and going there, they have exactly the same software as VW dealer but alot cheaper! And most know their stuff as well so makes no difference really.

Thanks
