Help, had my G40 for a couple of years now, mods are as follows, stage 4 charger, 65mm pulley, de-wedged throttle body, chip, de-cat pipe and full stainless and induction kit. I think thats about it.

I fitted some G60 injectors for more go go and it went like f**k, in the morning it ran like a sack of spanners for about five mins then it was fine. Removed the injectors that day and its been the same ever since.

Replaced coolant temp sensor (ABOUT 4 TIMES)

CO pod,

Removed head and re-seated valves,

Fuel pressure reg,

Now I'm about stumped. Has any one fitted these injectors to their G40 and if so did you need to replace anything else.

You probably bore washed your cylinders mate from overfuelling...

You can't use greens without a custom map to suit...

Looks like a bottom end rebuild is on the cards unfortunately...

did you just fit the injectors without changing the ECU chip to suit?

I don't think i can bore wash it with about ten mins of driving but thaks for the advice.

Not tried them in since i have had the chip and pulley fitted gonna give it a bash in a min.

yes, it could be

take spark plugs out, and let the fuel evaporate from them for a few hours or a day

crank the motor over with the fuel pump relay removed or the hall sender plug to stop fuel being sent to engine and let the engine crank for a short while - take some breaks so you dont burn starter out...

and try again

if it starts properly... it was bore wash. your rings might be knackered, they might not. you could just now have leaky injectors.
