hey guys my sis got a polo too so I'm postin on her behalf

when she starts her car the noise appears and she says when she accelerates the noise gets worse but when she dips the clutch it goes quieter again plz help guys whats the problem

hi no the noise stays the same when engine is hot or cold only time it ever goes quieter when sjhe dips the clutch it never disapears

Hopefully it isn't the beginning of the self destruct feature of Mk4 gearboxes...

could be the clutch release bearing. Sounds like it anyways. Does it sound like a spinning noise when you release the clutch?

its not the clutch actually making the noise its just when she puts the clutch in the noise gets quieter and when she comes of the clutch and goes faster it gets worse and louder
