could be a faulty connection with the brake light wires or a bad earth.

well they all been working befor hand. they went on the m1 yest/today!?? can tthink why they wood sundely pack up. its not asif i been fiddling with cables or elec's or nefing

brake light switch? try shorting the wires.

and how wood i do that

If you follow the brake pedal up, you will see the switch.

make sure that us screwed in. If so, unplug the switch, bridge the plug with a length of wire.

If they start to work, you probably just need a new switch.

I had this problem too, turned out to be a faulty brake light switch like Tino says

had a good look. n there is no switch on my pedal. help!!!

Is there an unplugged wire around the top of the brake pedal?

Its pretty obvious where the switch should be.

nope. no swicth , no cable. just a spring giving the pedal the resistance. and the rod bit just goes up n out into the car metal work!!?
