Got a nice gash trying to separate the exhaust manny and the downpipe, look!

Two out of four ain't too bad! 13mm socket seemed loose, so I used 1/2" one instead. One nut and one stud-plus-rusted-nut out. The imperial socket slipped on the other two and they're a bit rounded so at the min i'll be on day three just getting the head off!

I've read someone on here recommend irwins bolt grips - anybody care to back that up?

i'm applying loads of wd, it'll have till tomorrow evening to do it's stuff! I don't a dremel and you can't get a hacksaw in there so whatever I buy tomorrow had better work!

And if you can get hold of some Plus Gas, use that rather than WD40 it's proper proper effective. WD wouldn't touch the bolts on my rear axle when I was changing it but the plus gas got them going!

That'll be fine man. Just don't wear a plaster on it over night and it should be fine.

Plasters are pretty much the worst thing you can do for a cut imo.

I agree but it's worth putting a plaster on if you want to continue working so you don't get oil and stuff in there. Does look quite nasty but I wouldn't bother going to hospital with it unless it refuses to clot up and keeps starting to bleed again all the time.
