Which of the above wires do I attatch to the other wires to make my headunit work?? All help most appreciated because I'm sick of humming, I can't sing and I have a weak whistle.

Red/yellow are power

black is earth

and the ones with a colour and black stripe are speakers

green/green black = rear speaker o/p

purple/purple black = rear speaker o/p

white/white black = front speaker o/p

grey/ grey black = front speaker o/p cant remember which hand side they are

red = ignition fed +12v

yellow = continuous +12v

blue and the blue/white wires= 12v o/p for connecting remote amp wire or powered ariel

dont worry bout the other wires on the block coz you wont need them, just cap them off

brown = negative earth

blue wires (on the left) = not sure which one but one will be and ignition fed 12v

best thing to do is check this with a multi meter (if you dont and you blow your stereo dont come crying to me!)

loon on the right

blue/blue brown = front speaker

red/ red brown = other front speaker

easiest way to check will be to pop a speaker out and see which colours go to which side

you will have to run in new wires for rear speakers if you are fitting them.

if this doesnt make any sense now, then i would advise you not to wire in your car stereo! get a mate who knows to do it!!

I cant remember off the top of my head, but I don't think that there is an ignition supply on the 86c. I had to splice into another wire.

Also, again I may be wrong, but I seem to remember that the +12v wasn't the red wire. Best to double check this before fitting the unit

and buy a multi meter too! better safe than sorry! a friend of mine managed to set his 106 on fire due to messing up the install of a radio. lucky the car was a shity pug
