Clutch Problem Help!!

Featured Replies

hi,

My biting point has suddenly changed from being quite a bit away from the floor to very close to the floor. I have asked at vw what it is most likely to be and they say it could be the pedal box bracket which holds the clutch cable. What would be the best way to check, i've got the car open and have had a look but cannot see anything unusual except that a bit of the rubber gromit around the clutch cable has slipped in a bit :? would i need to take the clutch pedal out to check properly? + i've only taken the bottom plastic trim out.

Thanks, Appreciate the Help greatly :!:

is it the "MKV-6N2 1.4SE 16v 75BHP" under your avatar?

if so, have a goooood look under there.. they are renound for snapping at the pedal end.... unfortunately it isnt as simple as "taking the clutch pedal out" - you can get the pedal off.. but that isnt the problem, its the bracket!

theres another post somewhere about it if you do a search
