I think I've found justification for a sunstrip.

you can buy rit dye that can dye plastic ina a boiling pot for 5-10 mins, loads of colours, so u can dye youre plastic roof handles and sunvisors aslong as the foam doesnt crumble, heres the link

all u gotta do is stir the powder ina pot which is almost boiling, and leave em in for 8-10ish minutes. doesnt scratch off at all unless u cut deep into it but why would u? peace
