AHD is the early version and the CEH will be found on some of the late spec GT's

Yes, as far as I'm aware all Polo engines and gearboxes from Mk1 to Mk3 are interchangeable, along with some Mk4/5 engines?

But yes, both boxes will hook up to your NZ.

Hopefully someone will answer my question now lol. Don't want to start another thread for this but:

Most if not all Mk1/2/3 engines and boxes mate up with each other (usually just ARBs that need changing?).

What about Mk4 onwards? I've heard some Mk4 boxes are a close ratio match for G40s and hook up alright, and obviously early Mk4s ran what were effectively Mk3 engines. How far does this stretch? Does the AFH hook up to a GT box? Or are the mounts for the valvers gearbox the same? I know one engine mount isn't right, so the AFH won't go straight into a Mk3, but I'm just collecting info.
