6n2 broken locks

Featured Replies

my drivers side lock never worked, so i always lock via passengers side (meant to get it fixed but never got round to it...) but now that one is gone too.

basically i locked it earlier and the key stuck in the lock, it wouldnt turn back to vertical to get the key out but with a bit of force i got it out. now it wont lock either so i cant lock the car at all unfortunately. help!

anyone know about this? as far as I'm aware its a common problem? any links to other threads would be appeciated too thanks.

cheers, Lisa.

Hi Lisa,

What most likely has happened is a couple of bits inside the lock have sanpped - not the acutal barrel where you put the key in. Take the door handle off and dismantle the lock. Have a good look at a picture I posted earlier (see below) and you can acutally see which bits have snapped.
