hi, i justed wanted to find out how I can replace the fuel filter in my gt.

Do I have to empty the fuel tank?

What is the correct procedure?

If its the same as other mk3 the filter is under the rear of the car. £5 from gsf. Need to clamp the hoses either side of the filter after depressurising the fuel system. May need new clamps as some are crimped on & not reusable. You need to clamp the hoses with rounded clamps. You can use mole grips with sockets on the ends to do this.

how do i depressurise the fuel system,

i have been told to disconnect the fuel pump relay harness and then the engine will die and then it will be depressurised
