hi people...had a quick question..I'm attempting to fill up the numper plate recess on my 16v bumper. Do you think its right screw dwn and stick a number plate dwn before i fill it up, so that it gives a foundation and less filler is used?

you're meant to plastic weld it..

so I've bin told but I'm going to be using plastic bumper filler ..should do the job mate...just wanted to kno is it ok to have like a old plate ther to just decrease the depth of the reces???

yer it disnt matr wt filler you are using it will sag over time so will look gash there fore plastic welding or a thick chunk of plastic in its place and a SKIM of filler

deepz I've jus recently done mine i used the old 8v rear bumper cut a section of that and plastic welded that onto the front recess (i had to cut the front recess out) not a bad job for an amateur not very difficult providing you can get you are hands on a plastic welder.

I've seen some plastic welding glue stuff on ebay i dunno if u can cut the recess out and replace it with the rear part and use that glue would make things alot easier but again not too sure so ask someone before you attempt it

thnks speedy..i see what you mean..geting hold on a plastic welder is the problem...if the glue is any good then id use that to hold thte piece of plastic to the 16v bumper...

How expensive would labour by a pro be?

I'm guessin anything near £100 pounds :s or more...

well i got a quote of £150 just too smooth the bumper that was excluding sprayin so I'm guessin a bit more for the spray job
