Take your documents to a proper post office (not a pension shop in a village) and tell them what you want to do. They'll get you to fill out a form.

Check with your insurance company first, also as I am assuming your tax disk also got burnt you will more than likely need to go to your local dvla office

Looking at your pics, it looks like the tax disc didn't survive which the DVLA will need back in order to refund you. So you'll need to go to your local DVLA office as mentioned above to fill out a V33.

If for some reason you do have a tax disc, you need to fill out a V14 which is HERE..

Best bet is to get in touch with the DVLA to see what your course of action should be.
