could buy a charger (bbm!?), make a bracket, lower the compression, get a g40 camshaft, and bob is your mothers brother.

 can it be as easy as that??? how would i lower the compression??? and what would the compression need to be???

You need a spacer plate between the head and block. 8.5:1 maybe? Can't remember what G40 compression is off the top of my head but I'm sure someone will be able to.

sweet i want it done asap so someone let me know :) PLEASE

I think it would be cheaper to get a G40 engine than do all the bits to charge a GT to be honest. £1k would get you a reasonable G40 lump with charger etc...

yer i know but if u can find me one please do :)

Oh I hadn't thought of availability lol. If you get the fuelling set up well, as in really well, I don't see why you can't charge a standard CL engine on standard compression, plus they're cheap if it does go bang. Probably want to be running standalone management though...

yer i guess

well i will keep my options open. if u find out any more let me know ;)

How hands-on do you want to get? If you're finding a G40 engine hard to get, and you're not *that* fussed about reliability, I'd try and find an AAV/NZ engine and turbo it. You'd have to buy an EMS for it, which if you're on a budget Megasquirt seems to be the preferred option. If you used an NZ you'd get the benefit of a lot of (all?) the injection system parts you'd need to make a boosted engine run on Megasquirt. You've just got things like turbo, turbo manifold, downpipe, intercooler, pipework, turbo oil lines, oil cooler, oil drain into sump etc. to worry about then. And larger injectors from something.

If I was still a student with time on my hands that's a project I'd be doing right now. I'd run stupid boost through it with lots of gas and weld the diff up for an uber-pikey RWYB weapon.
