Hit water and the car is running like Shiite. No power. sounds like it's only firing 3, would this be water in the block or the electrics? Could of damaged anything?

any suggestions?

PS, it seems to be running a little better today.

hmm, well have you an induction kit, or standard. , if it woulda gone in the engine then you could check by lookin at your filter it might still be a bit wet and check round the TB. otherwise it'd be electrics, mine did this and i just took the plugs out the dizzy n got a hair dryer for 5mins around the area and in the ht leads. worked fine after :) haha!

It would slowly be filtered out. But it would still be firing on all 4, so if its only firing on 3 it's gonna be electrical(iirc). + how can water get in thru the standard set up, theirs more bends than down brighton on a Saturday night!

@ bends, so all in all I should be safe. All in all I have had a bad year this year with the polo :(

Spray both ends of the leads and coil with WD40, might improve things. Pull the dizzy cap off, maybe there is some water in there...

Seems to be running ok now shame about the gearbox :(
