Factory fitted alarm ?? How's it work then ?!

Featured Replies

My '93 Boulevard coupe has an alarm / immobiliser bolted to the passenger inner wing - and judging from the wiring loom, it looks like a factory fitted job, though I could be wrong. If it's not factory, it's very likely to be main dealer fitted. It's got a rubber cover on the top and a small circular key switch. I tried turning the switch with the little round key I have and about 10 seconds later, the alarm went off (all doors closed, except bonnet !), so I switched it off again.

Has anyone got a factory alarm and if so, what's it look like ? I'll take some pics tomorrow and post them. The car doesn't have central locking, and it didn't come with a remote for the alarm (if it needs one ?). I'm all rather confused !
