could someone please give me the exact location of the engine code on a mk3 GT engine,i need to fill in a form for the insurers but can not see it anywhere please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hehe, its on the block, i cant remember exactly, i have a feeling by the engine mount but unless you have an absolute minter it will be illegible

Wont it be in the same place as,i thought,all small-blocks? The flat side of the block,directly above the gearbox,directly below the thermostat junction. Simply give it a rub with sandpaper and it will come through.
