Servicing the G40 charger

Featured Replies

Hi all, I'm going to look at a G40 tonight which I'm told hasn't been driven all that much over the last couple of years so I was thinking it would be best to have the charger serviced.

Just wondering where's the best places to send it and how much would you be looking at for it?

Also while it's sent away, was just wondering what sort of extra work you can have done for extra power, roughly how much extra power you'd get and how much it would cost.

Cheers

Jake

OK, went to see it tonight, turns out the charger was serviced about 1,000 miles ago. However, this was about 3 years or so ago I think. The cars barely been driven over the last 3-4 years apparently.

So what do people think, will it need doing again or should it be ok?

Also anyone know what sort of gains you'd be looking at if they did extra work on it when its being serviced?

all depends how the charger was stored really. Personally id want to see it running, boosting nicely. otherwise id budget for a rebuild
