i wanna make me own exhaust but i don't know where to buy some tubing from.

is there anywhere in the preston/lancashire area i can get some?

Is it just straight pipe you want or do you want bends as well? I got a 3 metre section of 3" bore pipe (useless for the Polo, ideal for a turbo back system on my Discovery :D) for £25 from a steel fabricators. Don't know if that's a good price or not but I was happy.

Does anybody know what the diameter the exhaust piping is on a mk2 1.3 system ?
