Right guys,,,I've got the car all ready now and the only thing missing is some fresh paint,,,however I've no idea what a resparay costs these days..Its a mk4 and I'm after it repainting in the same standard colour,,the rear arches/door bottoms are a bit tatty and all four arches will need a roll,,,roughly what will i be looking at to get a decent paint job really,,,cheers guys.

At LEAST £1000 for a half decent job. I think the cheapest place my mate found for his T3 van was that place under the viaduct near wheelspin cycles/halfords etc.

You can pay what you want for a full hit. I know of people who've had it done for 200 notes, but personally I beleive you get what you pay for. The bodywork and paint on my CLG cost just short of £2k but there were some body mods and new parts involved. If you want a shit hot job then I recommend Reflex Autoklinic in Northampton. Worth the trip IMO.

i got a quote of 600 + sorting out welding jobs and smothing everything. but thats off a mate who has his own garage in n wales so i doubt that any help.

Your best bet is just to go round the local bodyshops

No-one on hear will really be able to give you much guidance unless their local and had a similair job done

if you can get it to manchester i could get the lad that did mine to do it for about £500

I used PF Auto's up in Stoke whose work is second to nonoe. Paid £1500 with some smoothing. At the end of the day you get what you pay for, so depends on that standard you want...and who you know :)

yeah the guy that did mine has done bodywork all his life including restoring cars and does alot of expensive and rare imports etc

he got bored being retired so built a garage on the side of his house and now does work in it :)
