6N Rear Bumper No Plate Lights

Featured Replies

Hi I need to replace one of the bulbs in the rear bumper, that lights the number plate. How does this come out? I tried popping the bulb holder but didn't was to be too agressive.

Cheers

Just had a quick read in the haynes book (as I have one for a mk4 but own a mk3 on an M causes all sorts of confusion) and it says:

to carefully prise out with flat-bladed screw driver in the recess provided. the recess is in the holder side closest to boot. Note how light unit is installed.

Twist and remove the bulbholder from the light unit then pull out the bulb.

To remove the light unit disconnect wiring plug

fitting is reverse

Good to see the book is getting some use
