Any guides on how to build a MK4 stealth shelf (or where to buy a cheap one)? I have looked but i can't find one.

easy, just draw around the old one on some mdf or ply, cut it out and make sure u have speakers that can be mounted from underneath, then before attaching them get some acoustic carpet from any car place and use some spray adhesive to attach it.

if u aint already sorted one, i made mine last week, got two 3/4inch ply boards cut to the shape of the origonal shelf, then made one of then 2inch small in lenth. in the largest one cut the speaker holes, but make the holes abit bigger so that the speaker can fit inside the hole, then the smaller boad, cut the speaker holes, in the same place as the first one, but making the holes the correct size of the speaker template, then fasten the two boards together, and mount the speakers. the board that is the biggest will sit nicely on the plastic sides of the boot which then allows the 2inch smaller board to sit nicely inside the lip of the plastic, so that the top board still sits level with the plastic sides. once you have checked it all fits nicely cover the boards, and cover the speakers, so nobody nows there even in there.

Haven't sorted one yet! Lacking funds! How much did it cost to build yours...i fancy building one :)

to be honest mate, cost me nothing, onli because dad owns an upholstory business, so i used there tools, and supplies, but wouldnt think it would cost much, but it 'improves' security, onli because chav's dont see you are nice expensive speakers in the shelf and try to rob them. priddy good thinkin eh?
