i have a fully smoothed boot for my polo, going to put number plate on rear bumber but i dont know how to light it up

any suggestions

only thing i can think of is running a wire from your back lights, so when your tail lights are on (not brake light) the light you use for the plate will be on. chav alternative is mount a neon which'll have to be not visible above the number plate and have it plugged into cigarette lighter on a switch.

bit of a pain to remember to switch it on.

i'd say run a light from your tail lights.

yep. if you can trace that through the boot door jobby then it would be a piece of piss to either pull that out and reroute to the bumper or just cut it off and splice a new piece into the original wiring and send that to the bumper. it aint rocket science

create a slight recess then spin the original lights upside down,so ther now in you are recess. then just smooth over ther old lighting holes.
