Engineers Report for Quinn Direct

Featured Replies

Well i got it filled out by VW and they've said no on the declaration because the 3rd brake light is masked (polo sticker) and stone chip on windscreen which I've got to sort out. Will Quinn direct still insure me with this? Its not like i have no brake lights or no windscreen lol

If Quinn have asked for an engineers report and VW said no then I can't see Quinn suddenly changing their mind. Both those things are MOT fails.

bollocks! i'll have to ring to check it out

thats strange, i have had a polo stick over my 3rd brake light for ages, passed 1s Mot fine, iirc 2 lights have to be working on the rear, the 3rd one is optional.

I think after a certain date all cars need a 3rd brake light.

it depends where the chip is and whether its bigger than 10mm (approx) as to whether its illegal or not.
