You'll probably need a recess filling if it's the same as a 6N.

yer it comes off quit easily with a bit of heat.. it's got a recess there though

Means it goes in a bit...so when you take off the badge, the paintwork won't be flat, you'll be left with a round dip in the bodywork where the badge was.

So because of that, you have to fill it in and have it resprayed.

should consider getting a black badge, won't stand out as much as the silver and look very neat :)

Or body-colour.

I'm lookin to swap my rear badge on the 6N for a black one, just wondering if someone who has done this can tell me what exactly is involved, is it a simple case of heat it, pull it out, clean the recess up and stick the new one in ?
