megabusa project begins :shock: me and me pops are going to put a polo shell on a westfield xtr2 chassis for trackdays and shows.

the engine was burnt out, it looks abit sorry for itself as it was left outside for a year but alot of its from the fire extinguisher :ninja: . were just praying theres not alot of water damage inside, stripping it down tomorrow

damage doesnt look too bad, one of the bores and piston has pitted slightly but were hoping it will be okay. the valves are abit crusty but should clean up.

haven't had much time on the hayabusa recently, after someone keyed my car i went all crazy and started on the bodywork on the slow polo, thanks to me pops for doing alot of the bodywork

Should be picking up the megabusa polo's new chassis next week :shock: , i started cleaning up the engine, its coming up okay

Nice cars :) um what sus u got on the top polo? 1.4 is it ? cause i was lookin at just springs but someone said to me they lowered theirs by 60mm on front and there was still an inch gap, so I'm now thinking coil overs, whats on urs?

man i wish mine shinned like that its beutifull what products do u use to get it

looking so smooth an shiny????

i like this car is exact same as mine apart from mines blue. do you have 8's on the back aswell? i have n it scrubs bad how much are you are arches pulled? n how low have you got it now? mine was down 80mm on coilies bt i got it at about 60mm now n can just get 2 people in the car cheers

coilovers :thumbsup: it used to be on 80mm springs and dampers, not much arch gap on the front but the rear was too high.

it was a 1.0l but its currently midway through a lightly modified 1.3 conversion

thanks. erm, pulled with a hammer about 1.5". its all the way down on the coils but with the helper springs still. no trouble with the rubbing on the arches, just on the edge of the bumper

thanks, just put them on saturday, had abit of trouble though with them ejaculating so hopefully it will be running tomorrow. Cant make it to no rice, someones birthday but should be going to spring fest

Ah good stuff, fair enough. Speak about it then hopefully, I'm on the CP stand ( despite the state of my car, although it will be cleeeeaaannn :D)

fist time I've been back on here in a while.

cheers, the car is no more, stripped it and sold all the bits to buy a nice run around but ended up with a shaggy old discovery. Got into offroading so sold the westfield and modified the discovery

got it running on carbs properly eventually
