i have one of these fitted there amzing fun!

i tried hooking it up to the cigarette lighter but it was really really quiet so i got some chocolate block connectors and extended the wires and did it straight to the battery. It is now very loud lol

There is also a button which if you press it right sounds like a wolf whistle ;)

afaik, there are 2 types of kits. One does emergency vehicle sounds, the other, farm animals.

As for wiring, you will need a +and -. The wires are short. Mine is wired to the cigar lighter loom. The siren is low current, and the only way I see there being an issue is if you have the cigar lighter heating up, whilst continuosly activating the siren. It might be advisable to fit an inline fuse.

The control box I turned upside down and mounted it onto the upper most part of the centre console cubby hole. If you go far back enough, it hides it which minimises the chance of passengers having a play.

If you do wire it directly to the battery MAKE SURE YOU ADD AN INLINE FUSE!!. Otherwise and short and you may have a fire

oh man! thats the one i wanted, could afford the extra though! :(

where abouts are you? shame your not in swindon could have done it together! :p

I'm in sunny Hemel Hempstead (the town that exploded a couple of years back) and tbh i don't fancy the driver to swindon

I had to get the one with a mic, there's been so many times i wanted to just have a go at someone and lacked the power, also with my windows now tinted i have to wind down the window to flip people off, now i can just shout bwahahaha.

Looking forward to scaring local charvers with the siren too

heres a diagram someone did for me

diagram

wires about £1.50

fuse holders about £2

or so I've been told!

my mate has the animal sounds one with the tannoy and it sounds like when someone takes your order at a drive through...

I will try and get some pics up, and yer wire in a fuse its really easy and worth it

I'd reccomend some sort of cutoff on it to stop it being usable on the road. One of our vehicles has blues and twos (it's used as a response vehicle in motorsport) and we're careful to have a keyswitch cutoff on them so they can't be used on the road. If you use these on the road without genuine cause, you're an idiot, and deserve everything that you will indeed get if the police catch you.

haha.

no no mine are for show use. ;)

Yeah man, mine's not for road use that'd be insanely retarded and in my area a good way to get your head kicked in!

Oh and cheers for the diagram giant!

Totally forgot about this thread, i know its pretty dead but just thought i'd warn y'all to NOT buy the one i did, it sucks ass and frankly my stereo is louder than that thing, but thats what you get for a tenner!
