thinging of wrapping my door cards in real carbon fibre in mt mk2...

i cant decide wether it would just be chavvy or not...

ideas?

depends really. i think on a standard car it would look tacky, i also think large expanses of carbon look a bit cheap. although, having said that mine has flat carbon door cards to go in it...

if they surve a lightening purpose then great but on std cards imo its too chavvy

i think if you do that you will have to find some interior bits and bobs to compliment it but it cant be carbn fibre cos i think it will be too much like new steering wheel, gearknob, window winders, mirror adjusters etc.

I'm going for it in mine eventually. So the cabin won't look to ugly but won't add much extra weight. If its just for looks might aswell get some plastic sheeting and cover it in carbon fibre sticky back. Probably looking at around £400 for a set if you get them made.

i was going to take my door panels, which have the vinyl removed and then carbon fiber over the top of them then lacquer it up nicley, i think I'm going to do just details, like the speaker pod and the door handle and pull :biggrin:

ps the carbon sticky back stuff is uber chavy IMO
