engine stands are rated by how much they can hold, so yes they are kinda universal. the one you have linked should hold your engine ok!

yeah a polo engine is no where near 450kgs. You adjust the arms on the stand and then bolt it to the gearbox mounting holes on the engine block.

Just one thing though, I'm pretty sure Machine Mart sell them for less than that (once you factor in delivery charges from that guy on ebay) if there is one local to you.
