right so i have a bit of a problem.. let me pan it out first...

other day i removed my little led from the heater controls and the 2 tails broke.... so i have left the light out but the yellow holder in...

i have 2 headlight switches... an old one and a newer one.... the old one lights up green on both clicks and the newer one only lights up green on the first click (sidelights)

however both switches only turn on the front and rear lights.... the numberplate lights, instrument panel and heaters (obviously) dont light up...

can anyone shed some light on the situation please as i dont want to get pulled for no numberplate lights....

Could be the switch, should only be green on the 1st click. Are all your fuses ok?

ahhh yeah i checked the fuses in the engine compartment.. all seem to be ok....

i thought it should be green on both clicks... will go muck about inside the switches see if i can come up with something

any other suggestions

have got a new heater light and that hasnt solved the problem...

also checked the number plate lights and there is a very low reading on the multimeter (0.01V) so does this mean a break in the wire?

Have you checked the output volts @ the switch. Best way to check for a break is to do a continuity test with no power on. Will really need a wiring diagram though. There is a link
