Well after a lot of stories from different people and browing the internet it seems I can smooth my bumper by expanding foam, fibreglass, filler or plastic welding. The foam and filler will sink over time and apparently Fibreglass is stronger but will eventually too. Everyone has stated if you want good looking bumpers that will last then plastic welding is the way forward.

It seems nowhere in Aberdeen does plastic welding though. I've got my new front bumper sitting in my garage and there is only 2 months until Polo Show. I heard you can send your bumpers off and get them done. Obviously this would be a hassle and costly but I will have no choice if I can't find anyone near me. So is there any recommendations. I really want to spend around £300 tops on both the front and rear. Cheers in advance

You are right in saying that you need to get them plastic welded. Have you not tried the Scottish Vag forum i am sure some one must have had it done up there before.

Try Criz maybe?

Test....Any Ideas on where can you get plastic welding done in South london?
