I am thinking about the relaibility aspect of turbo'ing my G when the PSD kit is released,

What I wondered is can you then use a normal mk3 engine mount for the G40 block and thus do away with the normal charger / engine mount bracket when the converson is used?

does he not mean, does the gt engine mount fit the g40 block so as to get rid of the bulky charger mount one??? obviously either fit any shell as the holes on the shell are all the same.

I used a base model aluminium bracket because my engine bay is a bit tight!

I also used a base spec engine mount on my turbo conversion, its 10 times lighter and looks better too.

what i was saying Dan is its all the same, the block mounting holes are the same and the shells are the same - there is nothing different.

That is basically what I wanted to know - As if the PSD turbo conversion is out soon - I may aswell start saving my pennies as I would imagine a turbo would be more reliable.

Just trying to sort some bits and bobs out....

no they arent they same.

g40s have 5 bolt holes, you can use a g40 charger/engine mount OR a lower spec version [diesel is best]

you cannot on the other hand fit a g40 charger/engine mount to any other block without welding on an extra mount or two to the block or modifying and re-drilling the mount.
