cheers mate :-D nope didnt do it myself but it looks simple enough to do, all thats been done is removing the grill then there is a replacement piece welded to the underside of the bonnet. dont know if you noticed but there's a line where it hasnt been smoothed it doesnt bother me too much but if you wanted you could get it smoothed over

Just wondered....how do you open the bonnet now? On my 9N the bonnet release catch is where the recess is! Lovely motor by the way!

well i dont have this car now mate  but when i did it wasnt a problem to get to the bonnet catch at all, its right under the recess so when you release the bonnet catch you can just slide you are fingers under. hope that helps

do you get much rubbing with the tt rims and it being lowered 45mm??

i got a 08 polo match a few weeks ago and looking at a set of those rims and lowering it 40mm

cheers ryan

well i didnt get any rubbing issues at all mate, i did have to re-invest in a new anti roll bar though it wore out about 6 months after i lowered it and when i did replace it, it improved handling no end. if you get a decent one itl prob set you back a couple hundred fitted as I'm a lazy buggar  hope this helps mate
