If your hand brake light is blinking I think that means you've got low brake fluid level.

When was your car last properly serviced? Plugs, leads, dizzy cap, rotor arm... Is the air filter clean?

filters brand new but it is a shitty induction kit one not a decent make, dizzy cap, leads and plugs done 6 months ago my brake fluid is lowish but not below minimum. should probly top it up though mayb thatl sort the flashin light, will try it 2moz. but no idea bout the power loss?

The power loss I was attributing to dodgy electrics, but if you've done that recently then I don't know. The timing could be slightly out. Does it seem like its misfiring?

dunno what misfiring feels like tbh buddy, but its going 2 the garage soon anyway so might get them to check it out but thats more money spent!

Miss fire will feel like the engine is tripping over itself. Kind of like a hiccup.

it might be the alternator belt is a bit loose, mine felt like it was being held back, just tightened it up and it was fine since then

Maybe worth blasting a load of carb cleaner down the throttle body. Its only a few quid a can.

alternator belt is brand new aswel, but yeah it does feel like its a misfire if thats waht it feels like, will get some carb cleaner and give that a shot, cheers for the help.

You drive through any nice big puddles recently? Could just be water getting into somewhere. Happened on my 1.0L and changing the plugs, leads, dizzy cap and rotor arm solved it no problem.
