hey just wondering if the badges on the tailgate of a mk4 that say polo and 1.4 are easy to remove and how they are stuck on? glued or screwed?

If its the part I'm thinking of (to the right of the vw badge) they're glued on. pour some hot (not boiling) water on them and slide an old credit card in behind it to take it off. it is important that the waters not too hot else you could damage the paint. I just used water that i could keep my hand in to make sure it wasnt too hot. there will be glue left behind though, use bug & tar remover to take it off.

The best thing that i found was a bit of cotton, i was going to use dental floss but i couldnt find any. I did the 1.4cl bit like the guy above said and it left some little scratches in the paint, but i used cotton to take off the polo bit and that did fuck all to my paint, much neater job :]

mine came out ok, no scratches or anything, just dont be tempted to pick at it lol

I use water aswell,from a piping hot tap. Pour slowly,give the foam and panel a good ten-twenty seconds to heat up. Then just slowly pull it. You dont need camp nails like mine to get a grip on it,but if you cant,just get any random bit of plastic to pull the corner of the lettering away. If there's any sponge left on the panel,fingernails are best. They wont scratch the paint,though you'll want to give the area a bit of T-cut afterwards anyway.
