I reckon that this must be the fuel pump making this really loud annoying buzzing noise. Its not too bad when I,m driving but at idle it is very loud.

Could this be the fuel filter needs renewing or summit else.

the buzzing from my boot is my central locking pump, stops when i start the car!!

Aye sorry, its a 1993 1.05 genesis.

Had a look throught the foums and buzzing fuel pumps seem to be common so maybe its just normal

Can be - could also be a sign that its on the way out. Keep an eye on it and take note if it gets louder! Shouldn't really be that noisy.

Mines quite noisey to. I found that one of the rubber things that hold the pump plate to the car had gone. This allowed the plate to rub on the spare wheel well causing the noise to be worse. Have you changed the filter lately. Should be done every 60,000 miles.
