I'm having trouble with the passenger side electric window on my Ibiza (same as mk2 polo). There are two little black metal peg things in runners that the window sits on (the motor winds both these up and down) However, for some reason or another, the window keeps jumping off the runner thats nearest the door handle.

It was fine for the first couple of months I had it, then someone leant on the window and it knocked it off the peg thing, since then I've put it back in place 3 times and it lasts all of about 8hours before getting knocked off by someone closing a door or something. I have tried putting a cable tie round the end of the peg as a temporary measure but it was very temporary as it slipped off yesterday.

Is there a screw that should or could go into it or something? There doesn't appear to be one on the other side but I don't understand how the window is expected to just sit there without being fixed in any way... or does anyone know why it could keep falling off? There doesn't appear to be any crash damage to the door and its in perfect shape. The window mechanism seems to be fine as well

Same thing with my mk4, both windows though!!!

There should be some little plastic clips that they pop over but these get snapped off, what I done with the drivers side is got myself a small piece of plastic (same size) and used the trust worthy superglue to keep it in place.

Obviously after a while it will slip off and it is a huge pain in the arse but i've been told that there is sound kind of compound you can use and it will hold it tight.
