I bought a remote central locking kit of the bay which is very good but i want the indicators to flash when i lock it.

There are two extra wires for an alarm so maybe theres something i can do with them?

Dont really want to buy an alarm :-)

Check the voltage coming off the spare wires.If a breif 12v is there then wire them to your indicators lives, which are green with black tracer and white with black tracer.

as above really....

test the wires when arming/disarming using the remote.

if you get a live, then you need to run wire upto the steering rack, as this is where your main indicator wires will be.

this will ensure you get all the indicators to flash, not just the sides or fronts.

personally, you would have been better off buying a cobra alarm and central locking motors. easy to fit, and its a top alarm with immobiliser and central locking!

and they cost £150 fitted! well. at my place in leicster anyway.....

Ok i tested the spare wires & they seem to have a constant 12v voltage which is no good. But i had another idea, i tried getting power off the wires that go to the drivers side servo which obviously gives a brief amount of power to lock the door. I connected these to a light bulb & it worked fine, however when trying to connect it to the indicator wires on the steering loom the lights dont flash when i lock & unlock the doors and when i turn the ignition on the hazards come on.

I think I'm on the right track but maybe need to be connecting to different wires maybe?

Any ideas?

yo man, hmmmm first thing i can think of is that there may not be enough current that comes off the solenoide to flick the relay over and make the indicators flash.

But saying that I'm sure the solenoides need just as much or more current to get them working.

12volts could be there yeah but if the current is different then it aint gonna do jack been there too many times lol.

The other thing is that make sure you havnt connected the wires to close the circuit of the hazards. thats all i can think of at the moment but if anything comes to head il get back to you mate

If you are getting a pulse from these wires, then, wiring them through 2 4 pin relays should get them to work.

Basically you need a 12v from the battery(via a fuse), -ve and the pulse from the C/L.

Terminal 85 and 86 are signal(switching), so if you are getting a +ve pulse, connect one of these to pins to this pulse wire, and the other to chassis earth. Terminal 87 and 30 are the switched, so your fues +ve from the battery, and the other end to the indicator wires(Black/Green and Black grey IIRC).If you get a 5 pin relay, make sure pin 87a is insulated, or you could get a short.

This isn't as complicated as it sounds but don't blame me if you cause any damage. You will need 2 relays as you cannot bridge the indicators(as both will flash when you indicate)

So the relays i need to be connecting to are the ones under the passenger dash?

Or do i need to buy 2 relays?
