hay guys as you can tell I'm pritty new to this game. and i need your help. picked my g40 up on sunday you may have seen it on here its listed by markus (sound guy) or on pistonheads anyways the cars got a well anoying nocking/grinding noise the faster you go the fast it gets will fade a bit under full lock but not a lot. so changed the passenger side drive shaft and had no luck hard to tell if its coming from 1 side or the other any ideas or help would be great. the disks are a little warped but shorly it cant be that. thanks alot dan

Broken differential, distorted tyre, stone in brake pad/disc?

I would have gone for dry CV joint but if you changed it already...

If the disk is badly worn it could grind, but knock it seems unlikely...

Does it go away if you dip the clutch or anything?

no keeps going with the clutch dipped. changed the passenger side not the drivers side. and ideas where i could get a drivers side full drive shaft cheap ish?

I've got a drivers side shaft if your not to far away from me

damb was up there on sunday its quite a treck for me i was up there picking my g up. and one else close to newark/nottingham/lincoln???

Sure sounds like a drive shaft problem. I had exactly what you describe in an old Pug.

Have a look at the CV boots and see they are split. The grease may have escaped and dried up the joint. if it has split, squeeze a little grease in and see if the sound goes away. If it does you know where the problem is

Try German Swedish french (GSF) they are normally pretty cheap and do mail order...
